Post Vacation Nutrition and Workout Routine

British Virgin Islands

I recently got back from vacation where I drank daily and barely moved.

If you’ve been wondering how to get back to a healthy routine once you’re home, listen up!

I don’t want anyone cutting out entire food groups, such as bread.

So if I’m not cutting anything out because I was off my routine for a little over a week, what am I doing?

Well I’m making sure I drink lots of water, move my body with walks and getting in a few lifts. I’m taking it slow and listening to my body. I’m making sure I have a carb, protein, fat and veggie in 2 out of 3 meals a day.

I’m not cutting my portion sizes, cutting out food groups, fasting, detoxing, killing myself in the gym or body shaming myself.

I didn’t lose a ton of strength, gain a ton of weight or “fall of the wagon”.

Because you see, one to two weeks isn’t going to make a difference. It’s the continual, long term habits that make a difference in your body, health and strength.

So if you’re like me and recently got back from vacation, don’t sweat it! Move your body, drink some water and eat some veggies and fruits.

Another tip. If the scale is triggering for you, I advice you don’t step on it. Not because I think it’s going to be a bad number, but because any sort of fluctuation can trigger your emotions one way or another if it’s triggering for you. Let’s just take that out of the equation all together.
