Gym-timidation

Gym-timidation is that feeling you get that makes you nervous to workout at the gym. it’s feeling intimidated to go to the gym.

If you have this, you’re not alone. The gym is a place that can feel vulnerable and out of a lot of people’s comfort zones. Including mine, believe it or not. I get overwhelmed and anxious sometimes when the gym is busy.

Things that have helped me are…

  • Wear headphones

  • Bring a buddy

  • Find a quiet corner to workout in

  • Go to the gym when it’s less crowded

I know these can be hard to do but if you had to choose one, I’d say bring a friend. This one helps more than you think and it’ll also help hold you accountable.
